2008 TOUR DE GEORGIA
STAGE THREE
April 23, Late in the PM...
Once again a stage of the Tour de Georgia finishes in my hometown affectionately known as the Chicken City. Our local bicycle club members wearing their Chicken City Cyclist jerseys could be seen scattered among the crowd. The course has gone by my house on four separate years of the tour. This year it travelled down my road but not exactly by my house. They cut the block short and I'll have to scold someone about that decision. (just joking of course)
Carol put her Road King in the wind this morning, from Augusta to Gainesville, in order to catch the finish of stage three. We got there early enough to walk the street, talk with friends and still get a decent position to shoot from. So I had position, decent cameras and good light. If the shots are no good then it can only be my fault. The crowd did not seem as big as in years past but there were still a good number of folks.
