Peru, Cordillera Blanca

JULY 2002

Well after coming back from this last trip I am starting to feel like I have hit a fair amount of Peru's highlights.  As with many climbing ventures you must first endure a long trip with surprises around every corner.  Sometimes I think the getting there is almost as fun as the climbing.

Get to your airport of departure early to make sure all the teams equipment gets on the plane.  Many times big bags that arrive less than 2.5 hours early don't make it on the plane.  Lesson one, trip one.
