The Hall County ARES organization maintains a substantial list of equipment in addition to the resources provided by our individual members.  This page is intended to keep the local community and the emergency management agencies we support informed of our capabilities.  As in all endeavors of this type we are always striving to improve our services and expand our capabilities by acquiring new equipment as funding permits.

WILLIAM WRIGHT, EMA COORDIATOR

     William Wright began his career as the Emergency Management Coordinator for Hall County in September 2005. He has over 20 years experience in emergency services and during the past five years has been the Emergency Management and 9-1-1 Director for White County.

     He is a Georgia Certified Emergency Manager and holds numerous certificates in training from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Georgia Emergency Management Agency. He has been an EMT since 1973 and has certifications from the Georgia Fire Academy. He has served as the Northeast Georgia Regional Vice President of the Georgia Chapter of National Emergency Number Association and Vice President of the Georgia 911 Director’s Association. He is currently a member of the Executive Board of the Emergency Managers Association of Georgia and a voting member of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency Region 1 All Hazards Council.

RON MULBERRY, ARES EMERGENCY COORDINATOR

   Ron Mulberry is the current Emergency Coordinator for the Hall County ARES organization.  Ron is the owner of Binary Bus, a company that provides GIS solutions for government and corporate websites.  In addition to amateur radio Ron is active in his church and the Boy Scouts.  He spent a good deal of time on the ground working in the relief effort for hurricane Katrina.

MICHAel crowder, aSSISTANT E.C. (equipment)

   Michael Crowder is the Assistant Emergency Coordinator for the Hall County ARES group.  His interests include rock, ice and mountain climbing in addition to amateur radio.  He is also an avid cyclist and is active in his church.  He volunteers in both secular and faith based charitable organizations.  He is on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Climbers Coalition Land Trust, an officer in the Southeastern Climbers Coalition and active in the Gideons International where he serves in several official capacities. 

    Michael is a member in good standing of the American Radio Relay League and the Lanierland Amateur Radio Club.  He carries an Amateur Extra radio classification and is an accredited Volunteer Examiner with the Western Carolina Amateur Radio Society.  Michael really enjoys anything to do with gadgets and radios fit that bill nicely.  His official job in the group is to make sure that all of the emergency equipment is always in good repair and at the ready in case of an emergency where our services are needed.

    Michael graduated from Lakeview Academy in Gainesville, attended Gainesville College and Berry College in Rome, GA.  He has lived full time in Hall county for over 25 years and owns and operates a multigenerational family business in the town of Gainesville.
