2005 ATHENS
TWILIGHT CRITERIUM
The evenings crit races started with the men's amateur event. This race was open to the guys who finished in the top 15 of each of the mornings qualifying road races. The men rode hard and it was an exciting race that ended in a strong sprint for the line. This race was the only race of the day other than the men's cat 5 road race that was run without rain interfering. It was followed by the in-line skating and kids races. It rained so hard during these two events that I took cover and waited for the worst of the rain to blow through.
