My idea of the perfect summer life would be to wake up in the morning and call around looking for a rock climbing partner. On the days when my search was unsuccessful I would just crawl onto the back of my bicycle and spend the day spinning my cares away. Some mornings it is a really tough thing to walk by the bike on my way out the door with a cragging pack over my shoulder. Cycling is in a three way tie for my second favorite sport. Also Roadies Rule!!! If you haven't taken a skinny tire sub- eighteen pound rocket sled down a steep mountain pass, mixing it up with sports cars and road tractors then you just can't understand. There is a big difference between a tree and a 80,000 pound wide-load truck. Throw in some rain, lightning, high winds, and darkness then it really gets fun. Kinda like mountaineering but different.
