STAGE 11
Stage 11 starts in the town of Courchevel and ends in the city of Briancon. There are three major climbs on this stage with the Col de Galibier being the final kick in the riders groin. The downhill finish is sure to make it interesting because I beleive Lance will just want to stay close and avoid any trouble. This will give some folks an opportunity for a nice stage win in the mountains without feeling too much pressure from the Discovery Team.
4:30 p.m. local time
Vinikorov is on a solo break and the main chase group is being controlled by Discovery. There is enough time for the chase group to reel in the breaks.
4:40 p.m. local time
A phonac rider (Botero) has bridged the gap to Vinkorov and now it is a pair running to steal the stage. I really wish I understood more French.
