MORE STAGE 12

5:30 p.m. local time

Today's stage ended with no real change in the overall standings.  The riders in the breakaway that took the win were of no threat to any of the jerseys.  I got good photos once again of the finish so we will be wandering out onto the course for the next few stages.

I am having to brush up on my French for today's stage so that I can get the play by play from the French 2/3 feeds.  Despite Phil & Paul, the program director Chris, all of the behind scenes crew (especially the moto guys, Leslie, the camera guys, and more) being extremely nice and accommodating; Kirsten approached us yesterday and told us she didn't want us hanging around the OLN trailer anymore.  I took one photo of her in two days and it has violated her privacy.  We spent a grand total of about 30 minutes near their "compound" today but it was too much for her.  Maybe this is why she is getting less on air time every year.  It sure was nice getting to hear some of the race in English but I'll just ask someone that is bilingual what is happing from time to time.
