GEORGIA CHURCH SECURITY LAWS

Below is an article written buy a legal expert on behalf of the Southern Baptist Association in reference to current Georgia State law on how you can and cannot try to assemble a group of "hand picked" volunteers, call them a "security team" then give them permission to carry firearms in whatever manner your staff or congregation decides. The law of the land comes first as well as insurance regulations and more. This is about as concise of an article as I have read on our situation in Georgia. A volunteer team can be put together but it takes a little effort, a lot of paperwork and the Grace of God in blessing our efforts.
