Normally do all my 1911 mods & complete builds but this Target Model decided to send to SIG Custom shop to see what turn around, cost & quality was. Called a phone rep who said could not do sub four pound trigger so didn't push but included a letter in box telling smith shot IPSC from 1980s & IDPA since late 1990s, if trigger didn't break at minimum of 3.25 pounds would pull it & monkey with his work.

Target model doesn't come with magazine well, ambidextrous safety or any tritium. Asked for their basic tune up, tritium in front sight, magazine well, trigger replacement & tune, 11 degree target crown plus anything smith felt necessary to call & discuss. Mailing label arrived via email in minutes after got off phone, boxed the pistol, took to FedX & about ten days later it was home. Trigger broke at 3.25 pounds, interior looked like jewelry & it shoots well as I can operate a 1911 & normally run about 300 rounds of major power 45 acp 185 grain cast SWCs per week through various single stacks.

After buying this pistol with 24 rounds down the pipe I ran 500 more in a couple hours, knew wanted alterations based on other SIG 1911s in the fleet so let SIG do the work on it & now I just box up any SIG want mods & send to new Hampshire. Price I pay for lightly used combined with custom shop work get back a pistol that is near perfect for an EDC & have less than street cost of a new pistol invested in whats really a brand new custom shop pistol.
