16" ARP 6.8 SPC II/ATN X SIGHT NIGHT VISION RIFLE
This is a fun rifle. It is built on a Mag Tactical billet magnesiun lower receiver with a SIG Upper Receiver and an ARP 16" 1:11 6.8spc II barrel barrel purchased lightly used on 6.8 forums. It uses a Colt Compertition milspec trigger that was completely tuned and used my favorite mix of springs along with a Colt Full Auto Bolt Carrier with ARP bolt. This rifle is topped with an ATN X Sight 2 3-14x Night vision scope. This is an I.R. scope and unless a really bright night the illuminator is necessary. This is my favorite of three I.R. night vision scopes at the moment. This rifle due to being dependent on batteries has a stock with battery compartment for plenty of extra AA batteries. Like almost all of my builds it sports a single point sling attachment.

FITTING THE BARREL AFTER SQUARING RECIEVER
REPURPOSED USED BARREL NUT
The above barrel nut was forced off a home build where builder tried installing with a two pin armorers wrench. After distorting holes twice they trid to remove doing more damage then took to a local smith who forced it off causing the cracks seen at front of nut. After surfacing off rougly 1/8" of material found enoug undistorted holes put a coat of paint on it and saved for right forearm and build. The cracks do not extend into the threads or beyond and later received a forearm to go with it after someone else destroyed a similar barrel nut. Ruining two barrel nuts could have been easily avoided as there are two different tools made specifically for installing and removing that make it easy to install and remove with the correct torque value. This further proves my opinion that the kitchen table build using a single multipurpose armorers tool is a poor idea. I got it on slick as could be asked without further damage using the correct tool for the job.
