MORE Antique Autos

The first car on this page is a 1951 Hudson Hornet Model 7A Convertible Brougham.  There were only 551 Hudson Hornet Convertibles built in 1951 and they sold for $3,100.  A pretty steep price in early fifties dollars.  These cars were equipped with a 308 c.i. in line six cylinder that could be bought in either a 145 or 160 horsepower configuration.  The higher horsepower version had dual carburetors and was called the "Twin H-power" option.  The most common drive train combination was a three speed transmission with 4.10:1 ratio rear end.  This car has been swapped out to a 3.73:1 axle ratio.  It has also been upgraded to a modern 12 volt electrical system along with the addition of cruise control and air conditioning.
