Setting up another rifle for iron sight steel out to 200 prone. Stock came up on another forum by a gent that was selling off some of the stuff from Hook's shop. Rifle is a TRW/Bula Defense Systems with std weight chrome lined barrel. Was shooting 1.5 moa in a walnut stock so there should be some improvement in the heavy bedded target type stock. Scope is a Leupold MK 4 16x fixed that mounts with a Basset low rail mount just for testing accuracy of the builds that come out into the light. Shootingsight sent the last few components a National Match .042 rear sight, adjustable EBR trigger and lightened hammer. Remember you can click on all photos for a larger view.

Just love the products from Art and Shootingsight. They help to make a decent rifle great. Second and third photos are after assembly, adjustment and loctite application.

A DAY PLAYING WITH THE IRON SIGHT TRW M14
Getting a bit bored with the scoped rifles so goofing with my TRW build and having a ball chasing the front sight. Letting the rifle cool now before going back out. USGI standard contour barrrel warms up pretty darn quick. As you can see by the targets I over corrected on the windage. Instead of 2 clicks I should have only done one. The .420 rear aperture from ShootingSight has been a big help for this non-seeing old guy to image both the target and the front sight. Getting better. PFC Thomas reminded me to keep both eyes open and shot this 100-7x with iron sights today.
