TRIGGERS FROM ORIGINAL TO CUSTOM FOR YOUR M14
A couple of original Harrington & Richardson trigger groups. One has an Harrington & Richardson hammer and K8 safety, other has a TRW hammer and Harrington & Richarson safety. Believe these are both brand new as the splines are pristine and not a scratch on the mag catches which, if anything, would show signs of wear. Love it when new 70 year old parts come on the scene. For comparison the final trigger in above group is an EBR Adjustable The final picture in the group is a custom EBR Adjustable unit with lightened hammer.
REWORKING THE TRIGGER FOR EXTRA CRISPNESS
Rebuilding a milspec trigger using upgrade parts from Shootingsight. They help to make a decent trigger great. Second and third photos are after assembly using an EBR adjustable trigger, lightened hammer, adjustment and loctite application.
NICE BARRELS ARE A BIG PART OF EACH BUILD
Photo is is selection of barrels for three inbound LRB M14BR receivers have several barrels to choose from. This includes two USGI contour 22" chrome lined, one medium weight SAKO Lowell repro. Fourth in line is Ultra heavy 6.5 Creedmoor and two Ultra heavy .308 Winchester. Pictures two and three are Bula USGI profile 22" chrome lined that came from GWLA when they went belly up. National Match reamed USGI, USGI standard, deciding if brakes will be LRB or AK style. I know, they aren't permanent and don't really make much difference anyway. Just something to mess with on a chilly Winter's day.

EARLY SPRINGFIELD ARMORY SCOPE MOUNT
This is an early Springfield Armory, Inc M14 scope mount. Very interesting and extremely rugged specimen in that that the main body is heavy aluminum plate made of two pieces bolted together with 1" steel rings. Rings are adjustable for windage to some extent by the use of set screws. Thanx to Hawk for the mount.

BULA SUPPRESSOR READY BARREL
Brand new design barrel manufactured by Bula Defense Systems. This is a suppressor ready M14 type 16" barrel. Muzzle is threaded 5/8 x 24 as is the new gas lock. There are two types of gas locks in the photo, one with a front sight dovetail base and the other with no base for use with optic set ups only. Gas cylinder is keyed rather than the old spline. Op rod guide is also keyed. These will be available on rifles built by Bula soon.
SATURN HEAVY PROFILE M14 BARRELS
Gathering parts for more build.s Down to choice of barrels. Top is Saturn/ Liberty heavy SS NM bottom is an Ultra precision. Expecting to have an LRB M-25 receiver delivered shortly. I am leaning toward the ultra precision on this build. Might even put her in another JAE chassis so the total weight will be around 20 lbs again.
BULA BOLT & OP SPRING GUIDE
First two photos are of a new bolt and op rod spring guide from Bula Defense. The third photo is a group of butt plates freshly refurbished froms Hawk's shop. Third photo: Bula Defense Systems has all their different bolt headspace sizes back in inventory, was able to replace the ones used in the last few months of rifle assembly. This is my shop bolt inventory, all 7 Bula sizes and the rest are an assortment of reclaimed USGI.
FRESH RESUPPLY OF BULA DEFENSIVE SYSTEMS BOLTS
Three new bolts arrived from Bula Defense Systems to restock the armorer's kit. These bolts are fabulous and indeed a masterpiece of workmanship. Bolts are -2, -4 and -6. This will decrease headspace over a standard size bolt by 2, 4 or 6 thousandths. Like to use these custom bolts when re-use a take off barrel, either USGI or commercial that needs to have headspace reduced. Thanks to Bula Defense Systems once again for a job well done. Standard size bolts are also available as are +2, +4 and +6 which will increase headspace over a standard bolt. These bolts are perfect but combination of resolution, lighting and the fact that there is still thick transport oil on the face may make them look at tad ragged. Did not wipe them down for the photos. Only marks on the face are from a headspace gauge when tested them in a bench receiver.
RWB OP RODS ARE HIGH QUALITY & HARD TO FIND
muzzle device selections
Decisions on what muzzle device to install on any rifle can be more than confusing. Each time we assemblel a new rifle, the question of what to put on the barrel to protect the crown arises. There all sorts of reviews, many devices and how they affect accuracy to the point of being overwhelming. Most do a fine job of protecting the most important muzzle crown, but how they impact recoild and barrel harmonics can vary greatly from one barrel to another. Some do a better job than others as far as reducing recoil, and some can tune harmonics more on some rifles than others. Sometimes its a matter of testing multiple devices at multiple torque values to find that little bit of magic that agrees with a project.
ASSORTED M14 PARTS
Above are stainless steel front bands to try in unitizing M14 gas systems. Now to warm them up, bend the tabs and mate them with USGI cylinders.
