While Paris is our least favorite part of France its still a must see if you have never been. Like the Smithstonian in Washington D.C. suggest everyone set aside at least two days if not more just to visit the Louvre and its just one of many museums to visit. Add in churches, other hisstorical sites dating back thousands of years then don't expect to see Paris in a long weekend. As time marches by Paris does become more dangerous and suggest all being very careful if use the subway and when walking do not accidently wander in a rea under Sharia Law as Americans can get in a bad situation quickly if wander into a bad neighborhood but in making mistakes we have seen the worst but also the best in people when done so.

Notice on far left is a photo of a train station. We learned that unless we can crash at a friends apartment, hotels in downtown Paris are very expensive or very run down and without air conditioning. We found an industrial area between the Paris airport and downtown proper with nice hotels aimed at buisness people working or visiting vendors in the industial section. This area is quite nice, seems to be zero crime and rooms are nice while fairly priced. Your other hotel residents are business professionals and the train staion is less than 100 yards from the hotel front door while downtown Paris is just a ten minute trian ride. Convienint, safe, nice and inexpensive prices makes Paris much more affordable if not surfing sofas.
