THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
WENGEN, SWITZERLAND
I really enjoy visiting churches of all types. I spent an afternoon in Wengen visiting and photographing the three churches I could find. The Catholic church sits above town with a nice view of the park and downtown area. The most surprising discovery of this adventure was the size of the Catholic church. I am used to finding the Catholics to have the largest and most ornate churches in most towns in Europe and South America. In Wengen all of the churches were about the same size and very small. Apparently a significant percentage of the local population does not attend church services. This church was very beautiful though and the fixtures were of very high quality.
