GWK 524, Flowing Stone

Flowing Stone cave is the second deepest cave in Georgia.  It was discovered recently by cavers participating in the Pigeon Mountain Karst survey.  This cave is located within the boundaries of the proposed Vulcan Mine expansion.  The short-sighted management of Vulcan thinks that a large section Pigeon  Mountain Mountain would be better crushed into gravel than left in its natural state.  For more info on caving or the proposed mine go to www.scci.org or www.pigeonmountain.org.
