Hand Guns
EveryOne should own a dozen good handguns or more. Whether wheel guns or semi automatics are your favorite each has necessary roles and its best to own a variety of handguns to fit specific rolls. While I generally carry a semiauto for defensive work sometimes a small revolver as a pocket gun or small to medium wheel gun in your backpack makes for a good trail gun. A standard five inch 1911 will almost always be my prefered defensive handgun but sometimes circumstances dictate a diffeent option. Due to the nature of my job I got tired of damaging or scuffing the finish of my nice 1911s thus have been carrying a double stack SIG 2022 Pro in 40 Smith as it has plenty of punch, twelve round capacity with a stainless slide riding in stainless rails molded into a polymer frame that is almost indestructable when crawling under a truck in gravel parking lot or wigggling under a house looking for gremlins in the electrical wiring. For handgun hunting or as a carry in the woods when hunting with a rifle I will often carry a wheel gun from a four inch 357 magnum to a 10.5" 454 Casull Magnum.
