For this AR pistol build I chose a KAK Shockwave pistol buffer kit with stabilizing brace, Superlative Arms carbine length piston kit and an AR Stoner 10.5" 1:7 melonite barrel as the heart of the build. As is common for my builds a Fostech/Mag Tactical billet magnesium lower combined with a SIG upper were selectd as the foundation. The forearm is a 7.5" Gorilla Machine which is one of the fairest priced U.S.A. made models have found and works very well. More to come on this AR pistol build. This gun was built twice as did not like to first "fine china" hanguard had gotten in a trade. Also decided to use a new Vortex SPARC II instead of an older Vortex Strikfire 1.

As with alll Superlative Arms blocks whether piston drive or direct impingement this AR pistol was super easy to adjust. Just close screw all the way then open 4.5 turns for full gas then slowly close till get proper ejection of brass and most comfortable recoil. These are slick kits and very easy to install but recommend an inch/pound toque wrench to properly torque the screws on the gas block.
