HEATHKIT HD-1250 DIP METER
This Heathkit HD-1250 is a super cool little gizmo. This little kit dip meter was first released on the market back in 1971 and was discontinued in 1991. Any electronic device that experiences 20 years on the market has to have been a good one. The 1250 has a very nice fitted case and can be purchased on the used market for a fair price.
The Heathkit HD 1250 has a selection of seven coils which allow it to cover a frequency range of 1.6 MHz to 250 MHz. This meter has proved itself very useful for tuning antennas and antenna traps. It can be used to find the value of unknown capacitors, a relative field strength meter and lots of other measurements.
