MORE North Carolina ice
This section shows some of North Carolina's rarer climbs. These are mostly high volume water falls. It takes extremely cold weather, lows in the single digits, for more than a week before any of these form. Although most of these are not that difficult the pucker factor of climbing ice that is often only a couple of inches thick with tons of water running behind it adds all the excitement a climber could want.
