2005 TOUR DE GEORGIA
PRE-RACE PRESS CONFERENCE
Monday, 18 April 2005.
The official kick off for this years Tour de Georgia was the pre-race press conference. This event was attended by many media people, much of the organizing staff and a fair number of special guests. Several of the top riders were available for a question and answer segment. The majority of the questions were directed to Floyd Landis, Bobby Jullich, Levi Leiphiemer and Anrea Taffi.
All of the U.S. riders were very happy to be back home to race and are excited about the proposed Tour of California and Tour of North Carolina races. If the races are organized they will show up and ride. It is hard to spend six to nine months a year in Europe in order to make a living. They want to be able to race back in the good ol U.S.A. Andrea Taffi was happy to be ending his career here as his first professional win was in the U.S.A.
