MORE SUBDIVISION ENTRANCE SIGNS
This page shows more subdivision entrance signs to help spark ideas for clients along with multiple views of signs on previous pages. On occasion our signs are refreshed after a decade or so for a color change or other modifications to satisfy the owners and POAs as they take over from the developer. Crowder Signs has manufactured all signs pictured and some you will see again after color changes. If your sign from another vendor disappointed you, we can sometimes improve it. We use name brand Sign foam for high density urethane foam signs, Olympic Panel/Swanson medium density overlay plywood, T6 aluminum plate, bronze, Narjoe Timber/Randall Brothers redwood, Thomas Lumber western cedar, Calsak marine grade HDPE, Yellawood and Wolwood pressure treated pine and other premium substrates.

THIS JOB HAD SIGNS ON BOTH SIDES OF ENTRANCE
The above signs were put at a new development in one of the towns most desirable and historic streets. The developer wanted super nice signs that would last indefinitely but wanted them to also look like they had been there for many years and not all shiny new. Compounding the issue was he wanted them curved, inset into brick structure and to have lots of dimension/depth. We began with cutting the background from 1/2" marine grade HDPE (SeaBoard) which is made to be exposed to salt water and sun for decades. After cutting on our CNC Router we had to "age" it using a variety of textured flat paints sprayed in a manner to appear like the signs had just a touch of moss and lichen growing on it from "years" of being in place. The tree and outside border is the next layer and cut from ETP copper sheet. We could only get the copper in 0.065"x36"x120" so we had to buy multiple sheets, split one then TIG weld them together for our needed width grind, sand and polish till they looked like single 52"x84" copper sheets we again cut on our CNC router. The next trick was to age the copper to look a similar age the HDPE did but still have the look of copper and mount to the HDPE. The final step was cutting the letters from a flat black material that was tough enough to bend without breaking, not have any new material shine, texture it to look like wrought iron and attach them onto the copper, HDPE and masonry. These are the type projects we really enjoy when have clients that want the best in an attractive and durable sign that should outlast the buyer and the maker.
TWO PLUS DECADES & POA ASSUMED BELOW SIGN WAS DONE
A BIT OF MAINTENANCE & REPAINT GAVE IT A NEW LIFE
MORE SUBDIVISION SIGNS
ABOVE RIGHT REPLACED SIGN BELOW
The below sign was hand lettered original sign for this development. From the main copy to all the small floral embellishments painted around outer edge to give the sign some character it lased well over a decade before owner decided he was ready for an upgrade. We wish we had cleaned this sign before took this photograph as would have looked much better and would show the issue with most well made signs is lack of maintenance that takes them out of service. If you buy a new car, park it under a tree and come back three or four years later how do you think its going to look? We were there to replace the sign so did not think to wash taking before and after photos showing it had at least a few years of life left had it just been washed and had it been washed regularly may have lasted another decade.
