MORE STAGE 3
Floyd Landis has won the stage 3 time trial in poor riding conditions. The day started out cloudy with intermittent sprinkles. As the day wore on the intensity of the rain increased. By the time Lance got on the course it was pouring. Floyd was able to finish before the heaviest of the weather moved in which probably contributed to his time. He was the only rider to finish the course in under 40 minutes with a final time of 39:58.
Lance finished ninth overall and the weather had to be an issue. The conditions got continually worse as the stage wore on. When Floyd crossed the line I was still dry even though all I was wearing was Levis and a cotton t-shirt. It was just barely drizzling by that time. When Lance crossed the line I was soaked to the bone and keeping my cameras dry had even become impossible. Remember that if you get any real cool shots of this stage or have a comment to pass on to the peanut gallery please send it to bicycling@coolbicyling.com.
