Tom finally took the podium for the presentation of the yellow race winners jersey and trophy. I.B.M. also presented him with his second think pad of the week. The question is, does he give it to his "better half", Lance or does he just keep it for himself? I'll see if I can get to the bottom of this important cycling question. I believe that this is a site we will become accustomed to seeing, Tom Danielson taking race wins for the Discovery Team. He seems happy and I am sure the franchise is happy to have such a talented young rider.
After the presentation of the race winner the second and third place riders took the podium for a group photo opportunity. The final part of the ceremony was the presentation of all of the final jersey winners as a group. These guys were all excited to be there. They finished off the celebration by showering each other with champagne. I had one reporter ask me if it was actually champagne or sparkling wine then wanted to explain the difference to me. I know the difference but don't really care if it came from a specific region of France. If you are spraying it all over each other and the crowd it doesn't really matter.
