STAGE 6
Stage 6 begins in Blairsville, the current home of NASCAR legend Bill Elliott. This is a very charming small town that is pretty far off of the beaten path. As they race towards the final city of Alpharetta they will blow just by my family farm where I was raised near the town of Juno. Juno is just outside of Dawsonville and consists of a feed store, a church and a post office. Nothing else but farms as far as the eye can see. Call me prejudiced but this is the most scenic area in the state with maybe the exception of the Sautee Valley near Helen.
This riders should be very well behaved on this stage that trends mostly downhill. The peloton should stay highly organized with no attacks being allowed. The end of this stage will be another shootout for the sprinters and be very exciting. After the finish there will be the final podium ceremony and this is what I hope to see.
